Tracking Devices
Tracking devices were at one stage not a realistic proposition for the private investigator. Original devices we large and cumbersome to use.
In the past ten years satellite tracking has come a very long way. Original vehicle tracking units had to be hard-wired and hidden away inside a vehicle, which presented obvious restrictions. The latest products do not require power from vehicle's battery and can be magnetically attached to the underside of the vehicle that needs to be tracked.
Tracking devices can be used to gather intelligence prior to and during a staffed surveillance operation. Information gathered by utilising a tracker will more often than not provide a solid base to conduct a subsequent targeted surveillance operation, thereby drastically reducing costs of the overall investigation. Tracking data alone will generally not provide enough information to conclude the investigative process and in practice the use of a tracking device is normally followed by a staffed surveillance operation in order to gather valuable video evidence. This will of course depend on the merits of the particular case.
Mission Investigations operates its own specialist tracking platform and is able to provide a first class hire service for vehicle tracking devices from as little as £125.00* per week. In addition to the hire charges there are the following fixed fees:
- An upfront deposit of £300.00* (refundable on return of device in good working order and condition in which it was originally hired)
